Last week, I encouraged you to identify your goals. Do your
goals seem to be repetitive throughout your life? Lose weight, save money, take more vacations,
spend more time with the family, stress less….why do you continue to have the
same general vision, but feel like you are spinning your wheels?
Maybe there are barriers in your life preventing you from
reaching your goals. There are two types
of barriers I would like you to consider:
1, Internal
barriers – Something within you that prevents you from reaching your goal.
Examples:
Personality, personal beliefs
2. External
barriers – Something in your environment that prevents you from reaching your
goal.
Examples:
resources, people, whether, job
What
internal and external barriers have kept you from reaching your goals in the
past? What can you do to prevent those
barriers from holding you back now?
It
is important to plan for challenges ahead.
By doing so, you won’t be caught off guard and can make choices to
promote forward movement.
I
invite you to post some of your reflections on the board. Sharing our experiences can help other’s
brain storm solutions and gain motivation to succeed.
