Food for
Thought: Feed the Body, Feed the Mind
Have you
heard the phrase “mindless eating”? That
unthinking, repetitive motion that keeps carrying bites or handfuls of food to
your mouth while you sit at your computer, watching television, at a sports
event? That “how-did-this-happen”
thought at the “end-of-the-container” moment?
You may
not have been hungry, you may still not feel full, but the food kept moving
from container to mouth with no more conscious effort on your part than
blinking.
Mindless
eating. Overeating without realizing
it. The opposite of intuitive eating,
basically relying on gut instincts to counter mindless overeating.
Take a
few seconds to think about what is going into your mouth. Does it nourish you? Could it make you ill in the long run? Do you need it? Are you really hungry? One or two better choices daily can make such
a difference!
Don’t be
mindless, be intuitive. Pamper Your Mind
is here to help.
