
Despite this fact, some people experience a sense of guilt when they find themselves beginning to find joy again. The time you were given with your loved one was a gift. The memories you have can never be taken away. Find comfort in cherishing those memories while you continue to celebrate life today.
Try creating a memorial box. Find a sacred place to store favorite pictures, clothing, poems, etc. that represent
memories of your loved ones. Create a ritual weekly, monthly, annually, or whatever time frame fits your needs and commit to adding to the memorial box during that time.
This exercise can help you give yourself permission to take an emotional break from grieving for blocks of time, knowing will be committed to always remembering and celebrating your cherished memories.
